The Wax Palm's Bright Red Leaf Sheaths Make this Palm One of the Most Attractive Palms in the World. It also Makes a Great Indoor Plant being they Grow a bit Slower than other Palms, they Can Grow Great for Many Years in a Container. What Makes the Red Wax Palm a Great Plant for Indoor Growth is it's Relatively Short Height. The Slow-Growing Plant will Often only Grow to Between 8’ and 15’ Feet Tall in the Wild with a Spread of Up to 10’ Feet. Although it has a Potential Height of 40’ to 50’ Feet in Ideal Conditions over Many Years. This Stunning Feather Palm Develops a Brilliantly Colored Red Trunk and is Very Hard to Find. It is Originally from Malaysia, has been Introduced to Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, and Other Tropical Areas All around the World. Soil Should be Rich, Moist and Loamy, and the Plant Should be Fed Monthly with a Balanced Plant Food. Providing a Bright Light, Red Lipstick Palm can be a Wonderful Indoor Plant and a Gem of Any Plant Collection. It's Definitely Worth an Effort to Grow this Rare Beauty!
Red Wax Palm Germination:
1) Scarify the seeds by rubbing the outer shell with sandpaper.
2) Soak them in warm water for 4 days, being sure to change the water daily. Use a thermos to keep the water warm.
3) Lightly press them into the top of a "sterile & well draining" potting mix. Do Not Bury, just leave part of the seed exposed as they need light in order to germinate.
4) Cover the seed tray with a piece of plastic to help retain moisture.
5) But sure to use a heated propagator mat to keep the temperature around 85 degrees F.
6) Every few days, remove the plastic and mist with a spray bottle if it starts to dry. The have to stay moist, not wet.
7) As with any other tropical, germination is erratic & patience is needed. If you're lucky, you may have a few pop up with a few weeks to a month, but most can take all the way up to a year at the longest so don't toss out any that don't sprout quickly. They're still good and just need time.
8) Periodically check the seeds when misting them to see if any mold of fungus is spotted. If you spot it on the seeds, just clean them with a copper based fungicide, and replace on top of a new sterile and moist mix again.

They grind well, but have design flaws

These worked great for a few months, but then minor inconveniences became bigger issues.
While I initially liked these a lot...I would not purchase units with this design again
Pros:
These do grind well and have good adjustments to grind size.
The battery lasts plenty of time for a long cooking session
Flaws:
-because the grind comes out the bottom the base fills up with bits and grinding dust very quickly
-the location of the button inevitably leads you to pushing the button unintentionally when returning to the base
-the charging contacts are very small which means the smallest amount of material in the base makes the grinder sit crooked...and not charge
-in the past few weeks one of the seals on the bottom no longer will sit flush in the unit...which if course makes it sit crooked in the base and you guessed it...it won't charge. It seems to get a little worse as it is used more and I am waiting for it to basically become so bad it won't work at all anymore
The amount of material in the base in the photo is from probably 3-5 days of daily use.

Best electric pepper and salt grinder for a very reasonable price!I

I've spent over $200 on salt and pepper grinders including very pricey manual ones and a name brand electric grinder which was costly and had a weak motor. I bought these expensive grinders thinking I would get a quality product by spending more money. Well, it was a waste so I decided to try this highly rated Circle Joy grinder and, so far, it works incredibly well! The high/low speed works exactly as expected and at high speed, it grinds really fast. The motor is powerful and does not feel like it's going to give up even when grinding salt or pepper at high speed and on the fine setting. It is easy to refill, holds a long charge and just simply works. Buy this. You will not be disappointed... and say goodbye to having to wash your hands everytime you flip a raw piece of meat or chicken to salt and pepper when using a two hand manual grinder.
